I don’t want to give away our entire marketing strategy but we’re planning a commercial where a safety-flo toaster is dropped on a competitor’s model, crushing it flat.
Home machinery is where we are today. Over in Research and Development department they work in the future. I understand that Earl and Lewis are doing some fantastic things with information and compressed air. New ways of thinking about the Internet computing network. Over in resins the Wingate brothers have developed a spray-on latex that will allow consumers to repair their own elastics. No more falling down socks. Imagine. Military research is up to speed again as well, with Floyd Andersen’s team finishing up the joint strike forces rail tank prototype.
Our stock hasn’t been doing too well lately, as many of you know. I want to emphasize that we’re in this for the long term. We’re not looking for mergers or buyouts or what have you. We’re long term people. The 1973 lowering of our debt rating to D- hurt us, leading to some years of negative profits. We’re even more confident now that our new vitality and product lines will help reverse this trend.
I’d like to personally invite our shareholders to come down to the plant and see for yourselves.
with pride,
Carl Spemmins, jr.
